Visa Requirements for Sweden

1. Do I need a visa?
- EU/EEA citizens
If you are a citizen of an EU/EEA country, you do not need a visa to travel to Sweden for the conference.
- Participants from visa-required countries
Need a Schengen short-stay visa or an entry visa for a business trip or conference. Maximum stay: 90 days in any 180-day period. Please find out more here.

3. Where do I apply?
You do not normally apply directly to the Swedish Migration Agency in Sweden.
Depending on the country where you live, applications may be submitted through:
VFS Global, or
a Swedish embassy or consulate.

4. When should I apply?
If you need a visa, we recommend starting the process as early as possible. Visa applications can require supporting documents, an appointment, and biometric data, and processing times may vary.
