How to Submit

Submission Guidelines

1. Language of Submission
All abstracts must be submitted in English to ensure a fair and efficient review process.

2. Presentation Limit
Each participant may present in a panel only once during the conference. If more than one of your proposals is accepted (e.g., if you are part of a panel proposal and also submitted an individual paper), you will be required to choose one.

This restriction applies only to paper presentations. Participants are very welcome to also serve as chairs or discussants, and to organize or take part in roundtables, workshops, exhibits, book launches, or other special events in addition to presenting their paper.

3. On-site presentation only

The conference will be held strictly on-site in Lund and not in a hybrid form. This is primarily the result of financial and technical constraints, which are considerable. Moreover, having the conference on-site ensures equitable participation for attendees traveling from across the globe and offers the best conditions for scholarly exchange and community interaction.

4. Submission type-specific guidelines:

Individual Papers: An abstract of up to 300 words, including the title, research question, methodology, keywords, and key findings.

Panels: A panel description (up to 300 words), abstracts for each paper (also up to 300 words per paper), and keywords. Each panel should consist of 3-5 papers.

Roundtables: A summary of the roundtable topic and brief descriptions of each participant's contribution, all in the same ("Abstract") field (up to 300 words).

Special Events (Film Screenings, Performances, Exhibitions, Workshops): A detailed description (up to 300 words) of the proposed cultural activity, including its relevance to the conference themes, format, technical requirements, and any special considerations.

Please note that we have a limited number of slots for creative outputs and cannot cover conference participation costs, including travel, transportation of exhibits, and copyrights. We encourage you to contact the organisers if you have organisational or technical questions about a possible special event.
